Properly viewing photos on your computer can be somewhat more complicated than it seems. If you want to share your photos with others, or view photos from other people, it is important to adjust your monitor to ensure you are seeing the photo correctly.
This page is no substitute for proper monitor calibration using something like a Spyder2PRO. However, it is better than nothing. The following grayscale set was created numerically, to ensure accuracy of shades independent of my hardware.
