Years ago, this area of my site was created specifically for hosting audio files that were licensed with the Open Audio License, as published by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and which were registered in the now-defunct Open Music Registry. Even after that site was closed, I continued to host Open Audio-licensed music here for several years, but that time has come to an end. I also hosted a final data dump in XML of all music that was listed in the Registry when it was shut down, but I have taken that offline as well. The Open Audio License has been abandoned by the EFF in favor of Creative Commons licensing, so the original purpose of the Open Music Registry is a thing of the increasingly-distant past. Any continued "support" from me after 5+ years is pointless at best.

There are good sources for open-licensed music, so there's no excuse for using non-Free music in your video or other projects. Speaking of video, be sure to check out the Video Liberty project when it comes back online, and the My Vids Rock! site too.
